Welcome!

Active learning through participation is at the heart of this Festival. Our aim is to educate, entertain and inspire.

We have assembled an outstanding faculty to make this happen.

Over the next three days you will be working with some of
North America’s finest professional musicians.

Take a few minutes to read through the programme so you know what’s happening, when and where.
Visit the Faculty pages to learn more about the talented individuals you’ll be working with during your stay.

Over the next three days you will have the opportunity to learn new performance skills, develop a greater understanding of music and enjoy all that Whistler has to offer.

We hope you take home wonderful memories

Audience for Adjudicated Performances

It’s no fun performing to an empty hall.  Each band and choral ensemble on Friday is assigned to attend another’s performance to ensure an audience regardless of performance time. Attendance at other performances is highly recommended and encouraged.

Water stations

Playing or singing is thirsty work. Water stations are provided at all adjudicated performance locations. At other times, you may wish to bring a water bottle with you.

Guides

With our guides to assist throughout, we offer peace of mind with no worries about where to go when for storage, warm-up, performance and workshop.

Parents & Family Members

We recognize the importance of family support for developing musicians. Parents and family members (with the exception of small children) are welcome to attend any or all adjudicated performances, the Gala Concert and the Massed Strings, Choirs & Bands at no cost, subject to space availability. We regret we are unable to accommodate the general public.

Adjudication Packages

Music Directors may collect adjudication packages and plaques at Whistler Conference Centre Festival Desk from 8:30 PM on Saturday onwards.
